Avengers: Endgame was probably the most anticipated movie of 2019. This movie is the end of an era of the MCU, or Marvel Cinematic Universe, and is the result of the build-up of 21 movies since 2007. It broke box office records within a week.

The last Avengers movie, Avengers: Infinity War, ended with Thanos essentially winning and causing half of the world’s population to disappear. This left fans devastated, and caused them to be very wary of Endgame.

When Endgame came out on April 26th, Marvel fans flocked to theaters to see this finale.

From start to finish, the film was filled with action. There were many twists in the plot, and it dealt with a few concepts that have not been seen in the MCU yet.

The film managed to connect different aspects of the universe to each other, and kept a consistency with all the films that preceded it.

Isabel Becerra, a senior, proclaimed “Endgame was the best thing I’ve ever seen in my life. It was the best movie Marvel ever did hands down [sic].”

Some had an issue with how long the three hour movie was.

Emily Hollinger, another senior, said “It was good, but it was so long.”

While many questions were answered, the movie ended with many more questions to be asked.

With the new spiderman movie, Spider-Man: Far From Home, coming soon, it will be interesting where the MCU will go from here, and if it will be connected to the Miles Morales movie Spider-man: Into the Spiderverse  that was released in December of last year, as many fans expect.
