Riverton’s Music, Dance, Theatre class is preparing to perform. This year’s MDT production will be the well known musical “Catch Me If You Can”.

Set in the 1960’s and based on the true story of Frank Abagnale Jr. (a famous con artist), “Catch Me If You Can” is a fun, entertaining, and fast-paced musical.

Stage Agent summarizes the musical saying, “We begin as Frank is captured by Agent Carl Hanratty, after years of pursuit. Frank, however, thinks the audience deserves to hear his version of the truth, and narrates his life as a hip, dance-heavy variety television show. We see Frank, as a teenager, run away from his unhappy home to live a life of great adventure, conning people by assuming a multitude of identities: airplane pilot, doctor, and lawyer, to name a few… Catch Me If You Can tells the tale of an ingenious, yet lonely, boy looking for his place in the world.”

The performances are April 26, 27, 29, and 30 in the auditorium. Tickets can be purchased for $7 for students and $8 for adults. Tickets should be purchased in advance due to seating being limited to 100.

Students at Riverton share excitement for this production.

McKenna Morgan, a senior at Riverton, shared, “They are very well rehearsed, and you can tell that they love performing. I enjoy watching [them] a whole lot.”
