Tennis season has started at Riverton high with multiple games already played. This season looks promising as the team recently played Taylorsville on Tuesday. This brings up the question of what is the plan or the current outlook that the team has this current season?

“The current plan that coach Mackenzie has for the current season is to try to get varsity to state,” Sophomore tennis manager Spencer Coleman proclaimed. “That is what we are trying to focus on otherwise the coach has not really gave us any other big plan for the season.”

The games have been going well with the tennis teams going back and forth playing 6 to 7 various matches per game. They are winning some and losing others but the team feels, “pretty confident that they will make their goal this season,” Spencer explained.

The team has had a mixed last game with the team going up and down the whole game with such promise in the team right now the tennis games are scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays with a few more home games next week for students to see. The team is confident that this year varsity will make it to state and that overall the whole team hopes to improve.
