Most people have a few songs that remind them what it is like being a kid in the 2000’s. These songs spark certain memories from when the listener was younger.

Party in the U.S.A reminds me of being young and in 6th grade me and my friends blasted this song,” said Jaiden Beckstead.

There are many playlists on Spotify that have a bunch of the most popular hits from the 2000’s or the late 90’s that most listeners can agree makes them feel like they were in a younger time.

A few of the most popular artists from this time include Outkast, Black Eyed Peas, and Ke$ha including many others. Songs like ‘Hey ya!’ and ‘I Gotta Feeling’ almost everyone has at least heard before.

Damian Cecala, an RHS sophomore, says his favorite go to song was “Kiss Me Thru The Phone by Soulja Boy, always makes me smile”

Songs from our past can bring smiles to our face and remind us of being young and happy listening to whatever the radio played whether it was a new LMFAO song or what Usher had just released.
