Being a part of a team takes a lot of hard work and time. This past Tuesday, Dance Company, Drill, and all of cheer hosted a mini showcase to prepare themselves as a whole for competitions coming up this Saturday.

Dance Company performed first, though they aren’t competing, but they executed two of their performance pieces. The first was an edgy number while the second balanced out the mood with a beautiful lyrical. They impressed everyone with the difficult yet beautiful lifts. “Their lines were beautiful! It makes me wish that I could be a dancer,” Jessica Zavala commented.

Drill blew everyone away with their fierce facials, and there wasn’t a single person in the audience that wasn’t intimidated. Their precision was perfect. They hit every line, and went full out.

Junior Varsity cheer had a little struggle with their fliers the first time around, but the second redo was much better. For Varsity cheer, they did better their first time, and seemed to fall apart the second round due to a chain reaction triggered by a flyer not getting all the way up. Their stunts were difficult feats, the standing full was very impressive.

“I’m excited to see how they do Saturday! Hopefully they stick everything, if they do, it’s going to do well. Everyone on every team is really good!” Elsie Bloc tells me.

Many people are excited to see how the competitions go. They are hoping they do their best, and people are giving their support. We will just have to wait and see how it goes.
