In 2016, I saw the worst movie in my life. It was so amateur in almost every aspect. The acting was below sub-par, the characters were all unlikeable robots with no more to them than a shell of predetermined characteristics that were ultimately unimportant and boring. Everything about this train wreck is basic film 101 on what not to do in a movie, and this movie was a blockbuster. This movie was Batman V. Superman, and it was possibly the worst cinematic trainwreck I have ever seen.

Now dawns the sequel to the infamous DC Comics Movie, Justice League. With critics already panning it the fate of the DC Extended Universe hanging by a string I have to wonder; “What’s next for this universe?” There is rumor stirring that Ben Affleck is wanting out of this steaming pile of so called movies. Patrick Ian said, “You know you’re cinematic universe is bad when a man who has never had a good day of acting in his life wants out.”

The series financially has done fine up until this point with Wonder Woman being critically praised and financially successful, and Batman V. Superman strived at the box office despite its terrible reputation with critics. However, Justice League had the smallest pull in thus far. The lineup for upcoming movies does not look promising either. Many of which seem like rehashes or bland ideas for box office successes.

Whatever the case may be, the fate of the universe lies on a string and DC can either start fresh with a whole new universe or they can push through these hard times. With the Marvel Cinematic Universe having success after success it’s going to be hard to step up their game enough to be hero that Earth needs.
